SpinLab started in a special education classroom with one controller and one student. That moment revealed what music could unlock — confidence, focus, and pride. Today, SpinLab helps people of all ages find their voice through DJing, no matter their background or ability.
Meet the Founder of SpinLab DJ Academy
DJ Mackie is an educator and performer with over a decade of experience in both the classroom and on stage. He founded SpinLab to merge real DJ skills with a deep commitment to community, accessibility, and confidence-building.
From school gyms to private sessions, Mackie’s goal stays the same: help people find their sound and spin it into something powerful. At SpinLab, he’s not just the founder — he’s the example of passion with purpose.
