Do I need any DJ experience to start?
Nope! We work with beginners of all ages. Whether you’ve never touched a turntable or already dabble with playlists, we’ve got you covered.
What equipment do I need?
We provide all necessary gear for in-person lessons. For virtual students, we’ll recommend affordable starter options and help guide your setup.
Do you teach kids and adults?
Yes! SpinLab teaches students ages 6 and up — no upper age limit. Everyone is welcome.
How much do lessons cost?
We offer trial lessons, single sessions, and discounted multi-session packages. See our Programs page for current pricing.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, payment plans are available for students enrolled in multi-session programs like Certified Vibes or Foundation Flow. Contact us to arrange a plan that works for you.
Can I use Self-Direction or OPWDD funding?
SpinLab is not a formal OPWDD vendor, but many families have used Self-Direction to pay for lessons. If you work with a Support Broker or Fiscal Intermediary, we’re happy to collaborate with them.
Do you support students with disabilities?
Yes! Our lessons are inclusive and sensory-conscious. We specialize in adapting lessons to support diverse learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities.
Where are you located?
We offer lessons in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, and virtually. Our main group sessions happen at NEXT Barbershop in Canarsie.
